A downloadable SRD

Partylog is here: the group play companion to Lonelog! Turn chaotic TTRPG sessions into scannable, shareable logs with this lightweight notation system.

Core Features

Partylog adapts Lonelog's proven shorthand for multiplayer chaos—@ for attributed player actions, ! for GM events, d: for rolls, → for resolutions, and => for consequences. Track PCs, NPCs [N:], locations [L:], loot, clocks, threads, and more with modular tags that work in Markdown or notebooks.

  • Flexible: Core symbols + optional layers (progress trackers, meta notes, combat).
  • System-agnostic: D&D, PbtA, Ironsworn—fits any GM'd RPG.
  • Group-focused: Handles scribes, split parties (T1-S22), flashbacks (S20a), montages (S15.1).

Why Partylog?

Solo tools like Lonelog shine for lone play, but groups need attribution and world pushes. Partylog fixes that: log who did what amid the bard's banter and collapsing ceilings. Examples span minimal shorthand to rich hybrids.

Perfect for recaps, absent players, or campaign archives. CC BY-SA 4.0 licensed, like Lonelog.

Full templates, combat samples, and best practices included.

This is excellent, I actually saw River link Lonelog in a mutual discord server and thought... dang! That looks mighty helpful but I only play in groups..!

Thank you!

Ohhh, I was already thinking of adapting Lonelog to be a GM note-taking system for group play, so this being a standardized official option is *excellent*!
