I am really pleased to present to you the final print version of Golden Idol! The action-adventure genre is an old ball of mine, ever since that distant day in 1992 when my aunt rented the VHS of Riders of the Lost Ark for me.

The genre has always accompanied me into adulthood through the books, movies, TV series, and video games that I have converged on Appendix B.

I had long wanted to try writing such a game, and Cairn’s framework seemed ideal for setting risky salvage missions in shipped and abandoned sites-the danger must be tangible and the risks high. The Old School framework is the ideal reference, even for a modern-style adventure such as those you will manage to conduct with Golden Idol.

I would like to thank all those who have already supported the game in beta, and I hope you will enjoy playing it as much as I enjoyed devising it.
